About Turtle & Cenote Snorkeling

Explore the fascinating underwater world of the Mexican Coral Reefs on a leisurely snorkel tour in search of 3 of the world’s 7 sea turtle species.

Expect to see brightly colored tropical fish, spectacular coral, amazing rock formations, and sea turtles. The unbelievable visibility makes this tour an unforgettable experience.

After making friends with the local marine life journey deep into the subtropical rainforest of the Yucatan to relax, swim, and snorkel in the crystal clear fresh waters of a massive “cenote”, and marvel at the thousands of spectacular stalagmites and stalactites that surround you at every turn.

This exciting tour combines two of the region's top attractions.

  • Snorkeling in the ocean with sea turtles
  • Swimming in a freshwater cenote

The day begins with a short ride in an air-conditioned vehicle to the sublime beaches Akumal.

Accompanied by a professional guide, and after a short safety briefing, you'll have the opportunity to explore the stunning reefs of the Mexican Caribbean Sea. This particular location is the second longest coral reef in the world. Here you will see tons of tropical fish, snorkel with sea turtles, manta rays and more!

Once you've made friends with the local marine life you will head off deep into the jungle for a relaxing swim in a freshwater cenote, where you will journey through the magical underwater world surrounded by ancient stalagmites and stalactites at every turn.

If you are unsure what we mean by 'cenote', be sure to check out our article on what are cenotes.
