About Xcaret

Xcaret Park is easily one of the top Playa del Carmen attractions for the entire family!

Imagine a zoo in a jungle environment, underground caverns where you can swim and snorkel, a Mayan village where you can see a Shaman perform a ceremony, or visit a coral reef aquarium where you can hold a sea cucumber.

Xcaret is a park the size of 40 football fields that incorporates all the aspects that make Mexico what it is: the nature, the culture, the beauty and the wildlife.

And, the best part is, you don’t follow a tour guide. You choose what interests you most, follow your own schedule and set your own pace.

Xcaret is a wonderful attraction where you can enjoy the best of everything Mexico has to offer in one place.

Here you can spend the day marvelling at natural wonders such as:

  • Underground rivers
  • Tropical species such as dolphins, sea turtles, macaws, monkeys, flamingos, manatees and so much more!

Plus, immerse yourself in the culture by visiting an onsite Maya Village and watching one of the many ancient ceremonies and colourful shows throughout the day!

You'll also discover archaeological sites here too!

The underground rivers are not to be missed and one of the attractions most famed activities.  Float down the rivers where the million-year-old stalactites and stalagmites are concealed.

The crystal, clear, fresh waters were once believed by the Mayans to renew youth.

Remember - where the fresh water and seawater meet, multicoloured fish will flock, so it's a great place to snorkel and make friends with the local marine life.

What's the difference between the basic admission and the Xcaret "Plus" ticket?

  • Tours in three underground rivers (a secure bag for your belongings is provided prior to the river activity).
  • Xcaret México Espectacular presentation.

On top of the 50 attraction included in Xcaret's basic admission tickets the plus option also means you can:

  • enjoy a buffet meal at the restaurant of your choice which includes one beer and unlimited non-alcoholic beverages (soft drinks, flavoured waters, and coffee) while consuming food.
  • you have access to Plus Area exclusive facilities, with lockers, dressing rooms and private restrooms, and the use of snorkel gear for the underground rivers (so you don't have to bring your own or hire it out at a higher cost).

You get to enjoy Xcaret Park Riviera Maya with all the benefits
