The resort is around 28.5 km from the Cancun Airport.
You should be able to get from the airport to your accommodation in around 35 minutes.
Does Excellence Playa Mujeres have an airport shuttle?
You can book an airport shuttle provided by the hotel.

There is no opportunity for kids to stay at Excellence Playa Mujeres but if your guests are travelling with their family they can stay at Finest Playa Mujeres.
The seaweed can be a potential hiccup when it gathers on the beach.
But, the resort team is on it straight away so it shouldn’t cause too much of a problem.
