I love that the hotel is compact, which is great for parents (if you forget something in the room, it only takes a couple of minutes to retrieve).
It has elevators so if you’re traveling with little ones and strollers this makes life much easier!
The family suites that can accommodate families of 5 and feature bunk beds in addition to a king-size bed for the parents. Win!
A stay here means you are just steps away from 5th avenue which is THE walkable strip with shops and restaurants in Playa. A perfect evening stroll.

This hotel is a 200-room all-inclusive resort located just south of downtown Playa del Carmen in the gated community of Playacar Phase 1.
A BIG plus is the hotel’s location and stunning stretch of beach. It’s absolutely stunning here and my favorite spot, close to home for the beach.
For those who put an emphasis on access to the beach and being able to swim, Playacar Palace is a great option.
Kids have their own supervised club that runs daily activities.
There is also a playground on-site, and the pool too offers fun family entertainment.
Depending on the length of your stay you may also be granted resort credit. You can use it towards activities off-site, such as the famous Mayan Ruins of Chichen Itza.
You’ll love this hotel due to the size and ease of getting around, the elevators and the 24-hour room service. You are also steps away from small Mayan ruins of Playacar which are a 5-minute walk away.
The included bicycle tour is sure to be a hit with the entire family.
Plus, it is steps away from Playa del Carmen’s 5th avenue, so it makes exploring the town that much easier with the kids in tow.
