The resort is only 19.76 miles from Cancun International.
You can get to Planet Hollywood from the airport in around 40 minutes.
Is there a shuttle service from Cancun International to Planet Hollywood?
The resort doesn’t provide its own shuttle service.
This isn’t a problem.
We’ll help you book a private shuttle or taxi so you get to the hotel quickly and comfortably.
Looking for an adults-only resort experience?
If there are no children at your wedding party you may prefer to stay in a kid-free zone.
No problem.
Planet Hollywood Adult Scene is the neighbouring accommodation.
It’s part of the same resort space so you still have access to all the fabulous facilities.
But you don’t have any splashing, screaming, or tantrums to disturb your peace.

The cost of a wedding at Planet Hollywood depends on which package you choose.

“PH free”
As the name suggests, you can get this package free of charge.
Yes, I did say FREE.
There are some criteria to meet though…
You need to book a minimum of 35 room nights or 14 room nights in STAR Class™ accommodation.
Plus, 75% of your guests need to stay at the resort.
If you don’t qualify for the free option, you can still buy the package for $999.
Services for this package include:
- Symbolic ceremony.
- Onsite coordinator and wedding planner.
- Complimentary STAR Class™ status for the wedding couple (subject to availability).
- 10% discount on 50 mins massage & spa services for the wedding party.
- Seating for guests.
- Bridal bouquet.
- Groom’s boutonniere.
- Table for ceremony with linen and centerpiece.
- Sparkling wine to toast.
- Semi-private two-hour dinner at an on-site à la carte restaurant.
- One-tier wedding cake.
The package is for up to 10 guests with a fee of $20 for each additional adult (13+) and $10 for each additional child (4-12).

“Mohabbatein”

The Beach
Take a look at those enticing blue skies, the perfect backdrop for your special day.
Feel the gentle breeze caressing your skin as you share your love with your partner and your guests.
You have two options for a beach wedding location at Planet Hollywood:
- Beach Surf’s Up for up to 500 guests.
- Beach Baywatch for up to 100 guests.
A quick heads up…
The Beach Baywatch option takes place in Planet Hollywood Adult Scene but kids are okay to attend.
The Rooftop
The rooftop space at Planet Hollywood takes you up above the expanse of the Caribbean.
Gazing out across the palm trees, sand, and sea adds to the romance of the occasion.
There are two rooftop wedding ceremony location options at the resort.
- Rooftop Wedding 24 for up to 120 guests.
- Rooftop Wedding Gusto for up to 120 guests in the shade area plus 80 guests in the green area.
*The Rooftop wedding ceremony package can be added to any wedding package for $1,500.*
The Palm Pavilion
This stunning and unique space is perfect for a ceremony protected from the full glare of the sun.
You get some welcome shade without losing the fresh and bright ambiance of Playa Mujeres.
There are two palm pavilion wedding ceremony options.
- Palm Pavilion 1 outdoor for up to 90 guests.
- Palm Pavilion 2 indoor for up to 70 guests.
What are my wedding reception location options at Planet Hollywood?
Your reception gives you the chance to celebrate your love with your guests.
It’s a time when you get to make amazing memories.
So, you need an incredible venue that your guests will love.
I have great news…
You get to choose from nine different locations for semi-private or private receptions.
*Depending on your wedding package, you may have to pay extra for a private reception.*
Semi-private locations
If you choose a semi-private location, you cannot have decorations or a sound system because the dinner is not private.
There is one set menu for everyone with dietary requirements catered for separately.
Locations to choose from are:
- So Cal Gourmet Food Emporium for a maximum of 50 guests available at 6:00pm or 9:00pm.
- East Sushi & Teppanyaki Bar for a maximum of 30 guests available at 6:00pm or 9:00pm
- Sunset Strip Steakhouse & Grill for a maximum of 30 guests available at 6:00pm or 9:00pm.
Private locations
You may prefer to opt for a private reception.
Location to choose from are:
- Rooftop Wedding Gusto for a maximum of 100 guests (buffet and a dance floor) or 150 guests (buffet only) available at 6:00pm.
- Beach Surf’s Up for a maximum of 500 guests (buffet only) available at 6:00pm.
- Beach Baywatch for a maximum of 200 guests (buffet only) available at 6:00pm
- Palm Pavilion 2 for a maximum of 80 guests (buffet only) or 40 guests (with a formal dance floor) available at 6:00pm.
- Blockbuster Ballroom for a maximum of 500 guests (buffet or plated) or 420 guests (South Asian buffet or dancefloor).
- Star Terrace for a maximum of 500 guests (buffet).
*There is a minimum booking requirement of 100 guests for the Ballroom and a minimum booking requirement of 200 guests for the Star Terrace.*
4. Gay Weddings at Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres
Planet Hollywood Playa Mujeres is proud to host same-sex weddings.
The most popular choice for couples is to have a symbolic ceremony.
Choosing this option means that couples can complete all the legal paperwork at home.
It is possible to have a legal same-sex marriage in Mexico.

The beach at Planet Hollywood resort is exactly what you’ve been dreaming of.
Just look at the fine sand…
Decided that a beach ceremony is not for you?
No problem, you can still sample the relaxed vibe at the beach bar.
The service is excellent and the view’s pretty good too!
Keeping it real, there is some seaweed around but the hotel clears it away.
So, you get a lovely clean beach.
Here’s a quick tip…
Be prepared for the beach to be breezy sometimes.
I actually love this because it stops the heat from being too much.
7. Food & Drink
I’m super impressed with the local emphasis the resort has when it comes to food.
Planet Hollywood uses local produce in its restaurants, as much as possible.
It also gives surplus food and leftovers to local farmers for their livestock.
You may be thinking that’s great but is the food any good?
Yes, dining at the resort is a delight and you’ll love the international menu options.
How many restaurants are there in Planet Hollywood Cancun?
You get the choice of 11 different restaurants at the resort.
Take your tastebuds on a journey from Mexico to Italy, Japan, and India.
Dining venues to visit include:
- Guy’s! Burger Joint
- So Cal Gourmet Emporium
- East Sushi & Teppanyaki Bar
- Gusto Italian Trattoria

So, there haven’t been many weddings there yet.
