2. Playacar Palace
Don’t you love a hotel that allows kids to stay for free? Look no further than the luxurious Playacar Palace.
This hotel is a 200-room all-inclusive resort located just south of downtown Playa del Carmen in the gated community of Playacar Phase 1.
A BIG plus is the hotel’s location and stunning stretch of beach. For those who put an emphasis on access to the beach and being able to swim, Playacar Palace is a great option.
Kids have their own supervised club that runs daily activities.
There is also a playground on-site, and the pool too offers fun family entertainment. The resort also offers a credit (amount depends on the length of stay) that can be used towards activities off-site, such as the famous Mayan Ruins of Chichen Itza.
Like Gran Porto Real, this hotel is adapted to ensure that families have a great time.
You’ll love this hotel due to the size and ease of getting around, the elevators and the 24-hour room service. You are also steps away from small Mayan ruins which are a 5-minute walk away.
The included bicycle tour is sure to be a hit with the entire family.
Plus, it is steps away from Playa del Carmen’s 5th avenue, so it makes exploring the town that much easier with the kids in tow.

RiuLand is an activities program for kids up to 12 years old.

Nightly entertainment will amuse everyone of all ages.

You can switch it up by visiting any sister Riu resort. If you stay at the Riu Yucatan, you can also dine, drink and play at the Riu Playacar and Riu Tequila, both walking distance. Or plan a day-trip to Cancun and take advantage of the Riu Caribe or Riu Cancun.
Set in the gated community of Playacar, kids can find their fun in the resort, and adults are just a short walk away from Playa del Carmen shopping, nightlife, and family-friendly activities.

Have kids ages 1-4? They have supervised nanny care for infants!!!.
Many family-friendly resorts tend to forget the toddler age, so even at an extra cost, this option is a fabulous one for those parents needing a well-deserved break.
You’ll find a supervised kids club offering extended opening hours from 9 am through until 10 pm, so even a romantic kid-free meal is possible.
Activities for the kids include:

Why?
Because they have created a great family-friendly concept that promises good times for all ages. And, they have rooms that can accommodate families of 2 adults and 3 children.
The best aspect of both Sandos Playacar and Sandos Caracol is the numerous local animals roaming around freely throughout the grounds.
Moreover, the hotel has great clubs for babies, kids, and teens so that they can have fun while the adults do, well, adult things.
Add to those great activities and a prime stretch of beach, and you’ve got one awesome family-friendly hotel.
Plus, it’s not too far from downtown Playa del Carmen. Located in the gated Playacar community, it is easy to get out and about, especially with the included bicycles you can acess at the resort.

PLUS, the pricing is so family-friendly, it makes planning a family vacation easy on the bank.

It’s at the high end of the 5-star scale, in short, it doesn’t get much more luxurious than this.
There is an endless range of daily activities for the kids to enjoy.
