      Hi Jayne,

Thanks for getting in touch. We are a group of travel specialists living here in paradise AKA Playa Del Carmen. As a female, I feel safe. I go jogging in the mornings, swimming in the afternoon and sometimes I like to party at night. We follow the same precautions that we have back home. Don’t walk alone late at night, don’t over do it on the drinking and just have a fun time while being responsible. 🙂 I hope this helps!

For a forty-something professional couple looking for kid free adult relaxation ( eg snorkeling, dining, dancing) close enough to the action to be convenient but far enough to be private if and when we want, what’s your recommendation (Playa del Carmen vs Riveria Maya plus best hotel for a week)?

    • Sarah Barlowsays:

Good Afternoon, and thanks for getting in touch!

The Riviera Maya consists of Playa Del Carmen all the way down to Tulum. One of our savvy Travel Specialists will contact you shortly with more information on finding an adult only all inclusive in the Riviera Maya, that’s just right for you.

Looking at Paradisis La Perla. Can you tell me how many pools they have? Also, do you think the seaweed will be bad in June?

    • Sarah Barlowsays:

      March 8, 2018 at 3:55 am

At the moment there is zero seaweed on the beaches you can keep a track of it using our webcam page, hopefully, it stays this way but unfortunately, nature is out of our control. The hotel removes all the seaweed from the beaches early in the morning. https://playadelcarmen.com/information/webcam La Perla has a free-form pool with swim-up bar and outdoor Jacuzzi.

    • Sarah Barlowsays:

      July 31, 2018 at 9:35 am

Hola Feroben, I will have one of our expert travel planners reach out via email to begin discussing your options with you. They will be able to inform you about the best hotels with the best stretches of beaches. My favorite adults-only hotel in the area is by far the blue diamond hotel you can read my review here…https://playadelcarmen.com/blog/review-of-blue-diamond-hotel/ the beach here is private, and in comparison to others in the region it is very wide meaning it never feels overcrowded no matter the season. The travel planner who will be in touch with you shortly can also advise you on different things to do in the area such as tours and free things to do such as visiting downtown Playa del Carmen and 5th Avenue. If you have any other questions whatsoever be sure to get in touch with me at sarah@playadelcarmen.com I’d be happy to help. Paradise awaits…

    Hi,
We are looking for a 19day stay in an adults only resort in Playa Del Carmen in early May next year. A nice beach would be good and easy access to the attractions around the area.

We are open to suggestions that are not advertised but in a quiet area. Thanks for your efforts to help the visitors.

Hope you can help and have a nice day.

    HI-
Can you please recommend a couple of adults only NON-inclusive places in PDC? I am hoping to go end of January for a week with my husband.
We like to explore the town, eat local food, maybe visit some cenotes & pyramids but like to wing it so all inclusive doesn’t really work for us. Of course we love the beach and just chilling there too.
    Thank you for your expertise.

    • Sarah Barlowsays:

      September 23, 2019 at 6:15 am

Hey Juli, thank you for reaching out and for reading my blog. I hear you! I am not much of an all-inclusive person myself either. Playa del Carmen is the perfect place to wing it because food is so cheap and you can walk almost everywhere on foot. Check out the rentals page on our website here for more options https://playadelcarmen.com/rentals alternatively you could try Airbnb. I will advise that for tours it will work out far more beneficial for you to book online and in advance. You will save a lot of money doing this. If you need any local advice or some intel on my favorites or must-dos just let me know. I’ll be here to help. All the best, Sarah

  • Lisasays:

Hello Sarah are there any places that aren’t all inclusive? We tend to venture out and not eat on site so I don’t feel like we get out money’s worth. Thank you,
    Lisa
