1. Natura
If you’re staying in Cancun’s hotel zone, Natura is super close.
And it has a relaxed ambiance to enjoy amidst the buzz around you.
Take a seat on the stunning terrace and you’re surrounded by lush green foliage.
It’s a totally chilled space.

This isn’t a vegan-only restaurant so it’s not the best choice if you have an issue with eating anywhere that has meat on the menu.
But there’s a dedicated vegetarian menu and there are loads of great vegan choices on it including tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas.
I love the tofu and vegetable soups.
Eating one is like getting a massive hug.
I’m also a fan of the free WiFi that lets you Instagram your experience as you’re enjoying it.

This is a family-friendly spot, so if you’re traveling with kids, it’s perfect.
The whole family doesn’t have to be vegan either because everyone has healthy choices.

2. Antojito Con Amor
This is definitely one of the coziest vegan restaurants in Cancun to visit.
And there’s a really friendly vibe.
The food is fabulous too.
They serve tacos, tortillas, and burgers.
As a Brit abroad, I’ve also enjoyed delicious vegan fish and chips on a couple of visits.

There’s a dedicated children’s menu.
So, any little ones traveling with you are well-catered for.

3. Bao Vegan
When this place opened in 2020, it was top of my list to visit.
And I was very impressed when I sat down to eat my quesadilla made with the tastiest vegan cheese ever.

I’d also recommend the carrot cake, it’s to die for.
And, there’s the added bonus of a small bakery onsite where you can buy the most mouthwatering Mexican desserts.

4. Sirena Morena
As a vegetarian, this is one of my go-to places when I’m in Cancun.
It’s not solely vegan but the food is healthy and great tasting.
And, there are plenty of vegan-friendly options including fruit bowls, sandwiches, and wraps.

While you’re eating, you can treat yourself to some downtime on the gorgeous outdoor patio where you’re surrounded by plants.
And, once you’ve finished your food, pop into the store and buy some health foods to take away.

5. Vegan Style
Dedicated to a vegan diet and love pasta and pizza?
This is a must-visit eatery while you’re in Cancun.
Vegan Style has recently relocated from Tulum.
And, it’s definitely Cancun’s gain.

And, trust me, it tastes pretty special too.
You can eat at the restaurant and there’s a take-out option too because you can’t get too much of a good thing, right?

6. Taste of India
No list of vegan-friendly restaurants in Cancun would be complete without an Indian option.
And this is my favorite in Cancun.
If you love the flavors of India, you’ll love this place.
The food is to die for.

The owners and their team are really friendly too.
So, you always feel at home.
I will say that this isn’t a vegan-only restaurant but there are plenty of vegan-friendly food choices.
This actually makes it the perfect place to eat out if you’re traveling with folks who don’t follow a vegan diet.
And, there are buffet options that get you more bang for your buck.

7. Gopal’s
This gem of an eatery in Cancun went fully vegan at the end of last year.
And its menu is amazing.
The flavors are so spectacular that I don’t know any of my friends who don’t love them.
This includes vegans, vegetarians, and total omnivores.

The dishes are Mexican-influenced and include spicy rice, tacos, and burgers.
The last time I visited there was a set menu including appetizers, soups, main, and drinks that was crazy cheap.
Happy days 😀!
It’s not just the food that I love at this place.
It’s a small business run by a Mexican-Hindu family so there’s always a lovely welcoming atmosphere.

8. El Huerto del Edén
El Huerto del Edén describes itself as a healthy eating venue.
So, it’s not solely vegan.
But, the vegan menu options are clearly labeled and there’s enough choice to keep most vegans happy including dishes featuring vegan cheese and milk substitutes.

What I love most about this place is the way they prepare their food in traditional Mexican fashion.
So, everything is fresh and natural.
And, the food tastes so much better for it.

9. Herbivoro
Looking for a Cancun casual dining space for vegans?
I’d always recommend Herbivoro.
This place is AWESOME.
There’s a pretty impressive menu including nuggets, hot dogs, enchiladas, tacos, pizza, and delicious cakes.
It’s comfort food heaven.

I’d like to give a special shout-out to the smoothie bowls.
OMG, they’re amazing 😍!
I have it on good authority that the cauliflower wings are not to be missed either.
Everything here is 100% vegan and the prices are affordable too.
What’s not to love?
Location
At the time of writing, Herbivoro is temporarily closed as it moves to a new venue on Tulum Avenue.
The good news is that the new location is easier to reach and is going to be an even better environment for customers.
I’m excited to visit.

10. Casa Tequila
This eatery and bar is situated in Cancun’s Hotel Zone.
And, there’s a real buzz about it.
Heads up…
This isn’t a vegan-only place to eat, there are meat dishes on the menu.
But, here’s the good news…
There’s a dedicated vegan section on the menu and it includes super tasty choices like portobello medallion, lentil postage, fritters in sweet bean, and vegan burritos, fajitas, and burgers.

And, there’s the tequila too of course.
The cocktails are fabulous and there are mocktails too for anyone who wants to give the alcohol a miss.

You can also catch a live mariachi band performing at Casa Tequila.
They were excellent last time I was there with friends, so it’s well worth checking when they’re on.
