At PlayaDelCarmen.Com we love seeing couples realize their wedding dreams.

In many cases this involves couples having a symbolic ceremony at the resort so they can leave the legal stuff to be dealt with at home.

However, it only takes a little extra paperwork and planning to arrange a legal same-sex wedding in Mexico.

6. Beach

There’s a wide expanse of soft white sand beach at Wyndham Alltra Cancun.

And there are plenty of chairs where you can relax in sun.

However, you should be aware that there are only about 20 umbrellas available for shade so sometimes there aren’t enough for everyone on the beach.

Personally, I love the cabanas if you want a shady space, they’re worth the extra cost.

Heads up…

Like many beaches in this part of the Caribbean, there is sometimes an issue with seaweed.

But, the resort team does its best to keep the sand clear, and the pools are a perfect alternative if you can’t spend time on the beach.

There are dining and drinking options for all tastes at the resort.

They include places where you can grab a coffee or a snack and restaurants with international menus.

You can even order a romantic meal in your suite if you prefer.

You and your partner can dine alone or with your wedding guests at a selection of restaurants and other eateries including:

• Ventanas – a buffet venue with global cuisine on the menu
• Azul – a casual waterfront buffet venue
• Viaggio – the place to choose for rustic pasta and seafood

Even though there are a ton of great opportunities for fun and relaxation at Wyndham Alltra Cancun, I’d still recommend exploring further afield.

This is an exciting and beautiful part of the world, and there are so many amazing things to see and do that you’ll be spoilt for choice.

You can start by spending time at some of the Hotel Zone’s bars and restaurants.

The shopping is impressive here too.

And, we’ll book tours and activities for you so you can venture further into the surrounding area.

One trip I always recommend to clients is the Tulum Full Day Explorer Tour.

The Tulum ruins are spectacular, and this trip includes a guided tour.

Then, you get to snorkel the reef and swim in a freshwater cenote.

It’s a magical day from start to finish. 🤩
