Description

You may have seen the pictures but nothing quite prepares you for this!

Get ready to embark on an adventure that transports you to another world.

The cotton-candy pink lakes of Mexico!

Nestled in neatly along the Yucatan coast the magic of Los Coloradas awaits…

More popularly referred to as ‘the pink lakes of Mexico’, Los Coloradas is a set of lagoons where its high concentration of salt and microscopic algae give the water different tonalities, ranging from yellow, through orange and reaching the pink tone!

Begin the day enjoying breakfast in an authentic hacienda of the XVI century. This gives you the opportunity to see a more authentic Yucatecan way of life.

Once you arrived at the pink lakes the tones combined with the surrounding white mounds of salt, make visitors feel that they’ve immersed in a dream.

You will then continue the tour by boat through the mangrove areas, where you will observe a great diversity of birds that nest in the area. If you’re lucky you may even see flamingos!

Before making your way back to your hotel you can enjoy delicious food in a local small fishing village that boasts unbeatable views of the lagoon (Rio Lagartos).

This tour runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
